Dummy Downhill at Diamond Peak

Dummy Downhill participants build a dummy on skis or snowboards, which then launches off a big jump. Spectators watch as unique characters fly down the hill or crash hard. As Diamond Peak’s signature spring event and the biggest party of the year, even non-skiers will want to come watch the madness!
A panel of celebrity judges will evaluate all dummies on the snow by the Base Lodge. Stick around after the judging to enjoy the dummy launch and an awards ceremony. We award certificates for creativity, best crash, furthest distance, shortest distance, survivor, and most sustainable. For the Sustainability Award, judges grade dummies based on how well teams incorporate recycled materials, reduce or eliminate plastic, minimize crash litter, and deliver a strong overall message.
If you need used skis for your dummy, Waste Not has a collection available. Please call them at 775-832-1284 to check availability.
