Mountain Tiger Donner Summit is a 12-mile point to point race full of singletrack, ridgeline views, with four mountain summits. The Mountain Tiger Donner Summit Run starts at the Royal Gorge main lodge, finishing at Sugar Bowl’s Judah Lodge. We pride ourselves in our spirited post-race atmosphere, with good food and music, free (real!) finish line tattoos for racers, and a stacked raffle for all racers with prizes from The North Face, BlackHeart Bikes, Atomic Skis, Suunto, Julbo, and more. We have a welcoming and inclusive race atmosphere with a non-binary category and equal podium prizes across men’s, women’s and non-binary categories.

Distance: 12.5 miles (point-to-point).
Elevation Gain: 3300 feet of climbing.
Four summits extensive ridge running and panoramic Sierra Nevada views.
Time Cutoff: 5 hours making it highly accessible for both new and experienced mountain runners.
Logistics & Extras: The $95 entry fee includes shuttle transportation to the start line a post-race raffle and a finisher’s item.
The event is designed for runners who want an epic, challenging big-mountain experience without the full commitment of an ultra-marathon. It typically takes place in late July (usually the 25th) and concludes with a lively basecamp after-party.
