Pink Talking Fish is a hybrid tribute combo act that combines the catalogs of Pink Floyd, Talking Heads, and Phish. Founded in 2013 by bassist Eric Gould, the band creates dynamic mashups, fluid segues, and exploratory jams, treating the familiar songbooks of these three influential acts with fresh, improvisational energy.

Pink Talkin Fish – Band Concept and Style

Rather than playing straightforward cover sets, Pink Talking Fish (PTF) blends the distinct styles of their namesake bands. They frequently combine compatible grooves—such as merging a Phish song with a Talking Heads beat—or embed portions of a Pink Floyd epic within a Phish jam. This approach creates a unique musical tapestry that appeals heavily to the jam band community.
