Tahoe Music Alive presents the Dolphins Quartet, a dynamic New York-based string quartet and composer collective. Known for reimagining chamber music as a living art form, their performances blend classical masterpieces with original compositions and bold improvisation.
From Juilliard to the Global Stage
Formed at The Juilliard School, the Dolphins Quartet has quickly become a rising force in the classical music world. Their accolades and notable performances include:
- Finalists: 2024 Concert Artists Guild Competition.
- Award Winners: Recipients of the 2025 Salon de Virtuosi Career Advancement Grant.
- Venues: Premieres at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall and an orchestral debut at David Geffen Hall performing under composer John Adams.
Contemporary Collaboration & Original Works
The Dolphins are more than just performers; they are a composer collective. By collaborating with living legends like Jessie Montgomery and John Corigliano, they bridge the gap between tradition and the present day.
