Monkey Rock Trail

Monkey Rock Trail is located in Incline Village above the Tunnel Creek parking lot. Monkey Rock Trail is named for a carved granite rock that looks like a monkey, offers a breathtaking panorama of Lake Tahoe. The trailhead is the same for the East Shore Trail. Monkey Rock is a more challenging option that begins along the same path. An entrance fee is required here, located at a self-pay station once you enter the park.

When you get to Monkey Rock the highlight includes epic views of Lake Tahoe and the fun rock formation. Challenges mentioned are steep sections and limited parking. Starting early and bringing water are recommended.
