Patton Landing – Watermans Landing

Located in Carnelian Bay, this three-acre pebbly beach is home to Waterman’s Landing, a gourmet coffeehouse and popular paddleboard hub. The beach features a free, nonmotorized “car-top” boat launch—perfect for kayaks, paddleboards, and other small watercraft. Rentals are available on-site, so you can hit the water without bringing your own gear. Amenities include restrooms, accessible walkways, benches, and picnic tables for a comfortable lakeside experience. The café serves fresh food and espresso drinks, and the staff are well known in the local paddle community.
Patton Landing is operated year-round by a local concessionaire on behalf of the California Tahoe Conservancy. Summer brings full-time operations, while winter weekends still offer a cozy spot to grab coffee and enjoy the view. A small 23-car parking area fills up quickly on sunny days, so early arrival is recommended for beach access or café seating.
Dogs are welcome on leash along the eastern portion of the beach and on the café deck. Pet waste bags are provided to help keep the area clean.
