What’s New in Lake Tahoe Spring 2026

Seasonal events, new business openings, and more.

LAKE TAHOE, Calif./Nev., March 2, 2026 –– Spring in Lake Tahoe brings a fresh sense of renewal across the region. This season offers the best of both worlds. Visitors can still catch fresh snow in the mountains for skiing or snowboarding in the morning, then spend the warmer afternoons exploring along the lake. Between scenic shoreline strolls and springtime events, the region offers an energizing and memorable seasonal experience. Whether spotting waterfalls at their peak or enjoying patio dining near the lake, there’s something for every visitor to enjoy. Here’s what’s new to the region this spring.

Business Updates

  • Palisades Tahoe Launches the Apex Club: The Apex Club is a limited-membership, premium experience designed for seamless days on the mountain. Members enjoy private lounges, priority lift access, concierge service, premier parking, and exclusive events. Daily access tickets are also available. Proceeds support the Palisades Tahoe Community Foundation.
  • Rancher Hat Bar opens in Northstar Village: Rancher Hat bar brings a fun, customizable hat experience to the resort. Guests can browse a wide selection of cowboy and trucker hats, and add accessories like ribbons, charms and beads to create their own unique styles.

Community Events

March:

  • Spring Entertainment at Crystal Bay Casino: Crystal Bay Casino’s Crown Room offers a diverse lineup of live music and comedy shows. Standout performances include Tom Hamilton (March 24), comedian Sam Tallent (March 26), Red NOT Chili Peppers (April 10), and Shakey Graves with Jobi Riccio (April 23).
  • Pasta Making at Osteria Sierra Restaurant (March 4, 11, 18, 25): Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino, hosts weekly fresh pasta making demonstrations at its Osteria Sierra restaurant. “The Art of Pasta” events give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at pasta making, and opportunities to taste the pasta while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine. Weekly on Wednesdays in March from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Six-Course Wine Dinner at Cedar House Pub (March 11): Enjoy an unforgettable one-of-a-kind Six-Course Wine & Food Pairing Dinner. This intimate dinner experience is limited to a select number of guests, offering the perfect blend of fine wines, gourmet dishes, and unparalleled service inside Cedar House Pub at Granlibakken Tahoe.
  • Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus (March 12, 14, 16): Experience the power and beauty of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem as the Tahoe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus presents a thoughtfully curated performance of this choral masterpiece, featuring iconic movements from Dies irae to Libera me.
  • U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships (March 27, 28, 29): Catch elite athletes in action at the Toyota U.S. Mogul Freestyle Championships, featuring top competitors in moguls and dual moguls on Red Dog Face at Palisades Tahoe. Come cheer on the U.S. Mogul Freestyle team during this free, all-day event.

April:

  • Paint and Sip at Little Bear Cafe (April 2, 16): Unwind après-ski with a cozy Paint & Sip at Little Bear Cafe in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. Sip, paint, and create your own tote bag with guided instruction; no experience needed. There will be an Easter-themed session on April 2 and a Spring Skiing edition on April 16. All ages welcome for an easygoing night of creativity and mountain magic.
  • Ski with a Scientist (April 3): Ski alongside scientists from the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center during this free, guided on-the-mountain experience at Alpine Meadows, hosted in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service. Explore Alpine’s natural history and cutting-edge environmental research, from zooplankton in ancient lakes to how scientists ensure trustworthy data, all while skiing or riding the terrain with expert guides.
  • Easter Brunch at Granlibakken Tahoe (April 5): Enjoy a special Easter Sunday brunch buffet at Granlibakken Tahoe, complete with a visit from the Easter Bunny and an egg hunt for the kids. Choose from a wide variety of freshly prepared dishes by our in-house culinary team, and add on free-flow Mimosas for an additional $20 per person.
  • New Moon Sauna & Soul at Stillwater Spa (April 17): Sauna & Soul is a two-hour New Moon gathering at Stillwater Spa designed to help you pause, reset, and set fresh intentions. This immersive experience blends gentle movement, mindful breathing, meditation, reflective journaling with soothing sound vibrations, and concludes with a restorative sauna and steam ritual, ensuring you leave feeling grounded, clear, and renewed.

May:

  • Tahoe Environmental Research Center (May 5): Discover the vital world of pollinators at Sierra Nevada Pollinators with Will Richardson of the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science (TINS). Join this engaging lecture at Tahoe Science Center on May 5 to learn about bees, butterflies, birds, and other pollinators, their ecological roles, and how you can contribute to biodiversity research using iNaturalist.
  • Full Moon Snowshoe Tour with Tahoe Adventure Co. (May 11, 12): Snowshoe beneath the glow of the full moon on a guided Full Moon Snowshoe Trek with Tahoe Adventure Company. Explore Tahoe’s quiet winter forests with knowledgeable guides, learn about the High Sierra and the night sky, and warm up with hot drinks under the stars. It’s an unforgettable, moonlit adventure for ages 8+.
  • Made in Tahoe Festival (May 23, 24): Celebrate local artisans at Made in Tahoe, a free event at The Village at Palisades Tahoe. Browse a diverse range of handcrafted offerings made by a talented community of creators while enjoying live music and performances. Experience Lake Tahoe’s rich culture complete with a variety of local food, beer, and wine.  
  • Big Blue Adventure Tail Wagger 5K (May 30): Join the Big Blue Adventure Tail Wagger at North Tahoe Regional Park for a dog-friendly 5K and 1-mile run. Whether you bring your pup or run solo, enjoy a fun-filled festival with an expo, activities, and plenty of tail-wagging excitement for everyone. 

Parks & Recreation Updates

  • Ice Skating in Lake Tahoe (March): Ice skating is typically available through much of March at Northstar Village and Everline.
  • D.L. Bliss State Park Reopens: After major infrastructure upgrades, D.L. Bliss State Park is fully reopening to the public for camping and day use on May 21. Visitors can hike the Rubicon Trail, Lighthouse Trail, and Balancing Rock Trail, and relax on Lester Beach or Calawee Cove or boulder jump into the lake.  
  • Hiking Trails Become Accessible: Lower elevation hiking trails begin to clear as the snow melts. Always check conditions ahead of time, but typically the East Shore Trail, Eagle Rock Trail and the Rubicon Trail become accessible in mid-late May. 
  • Kayaking Tours Begin for the Season: Clearly Tahoe begins offering tours in their clear kayaks in April, and Tahoe Adventure Company runs daily sunset clear kayak tours starting in May.
